I finally weighed myself and see that this is not a good time to start sewing. I need to renovate first. I had gone to 170 now I'm back to 187! 17 pounds over 9 months or so. As a breast cancer survivor, I really need to keep the weight down - don't need extra estrogen producing fat hanging around. So it is time to redouble regroup redefine and generally refuse to eat stuff I should not. Found this little ticker thingy and threw it up here. Now I'm looking for 4 or 5 standard meals I can afford, easily fix and like.

When I say easy, I mean
  • Cottage cheese and pineapple tidbits with Diet Green Tea
  • V8 with almonds and 100 calorie pack popcorn.
  • Yogurt, whey protein and fruit-from-frozen-bag smoothie
  • Oven roasted meat (pork chop or chicken breast) and veggies

See, I like to cook and I like to eat, but I 'm not always ready for the work involved. I find at 55 I have a finite quantity of project/task oriented energy. I can usually get myself to do significant portions of a task before this quantity runs out and its time for me to renew, much like my digital appliances. However, unlike them, I have no spare battery and the recharge cycle is unpredictable.

My patience for grocery/supply shopping is excellent. I make a list and read labels and get every thing, even if I have to go to multiple stores. And I always get the perishables put away. Then I'm done. Spent. Nothing else happens until I get another burst of whatever it is that makes people get up off their behinds and start doing stuff. Often times that takes long enough for whatever I bought to start to rot in the fridge.

Actually, I do a ton of stuff --on the computer. Just not much stuff that calls for moving around. Which brings me back to my mission to leave my fat behind. Let me get up!
